“Re-Burn” the Security Key and Upgrade MotoSimEG-VRC
If using MotosimEG VRC 2017 to 2020SP1, and do NOT wish to “re-burn” the security key. Begin at Step 7.
If using MotosimEG VRC 2016SP2 or prior, complete each step below:
- Download and unzip the Key Utility ZIP file from the downloads page
- Install and open the Key Utility software
- Select the Internal Serial Number button and take a screenshot
- Select the Find Key Product button and take a screenshot of all data listed
- Email the screenshots to techsupport@motoman.com
- Please include your company name and current version of MotosimEG-VRC
- Wait for a reply…it will contain an attached *.dat file
- Copy the attachment to your hard drive
- Update your key
- Select the button “Update Key” and locate the *.dat file on your hard drive
- Your key will now be updated
- Uninstall the previous version of MotosimEG-VRC
- Install the new version of MotosimEG-VRC and follow the onscreen prompts
- Once Motosim is running, the key Utility and *.dat file can be removed
